President’s Report (Greg):

“So, Alright….guess we’ll get this thing started.”

*The BENDER JAMBOREE is the next big weekend, April 11-14.  Then, the GARAGE MAHAL TAKEOVER will be on April 20.

*We will soon be going to check out the new BAR172 at The Rio!

*It was mentioned that SHAKEY FEELIN’ is working with the SandDollar for an upcoming weekend date.  Details TBD.

Vice President’s Report (JT):

*We were contacted by AEG/The Joint, for an offer to ‘raffle/lotto’ 10-20 tickets for the upcoming May 4th Phil Lesh & Friends show.  (Check the email info SOON!)

*Trevor Hall lotto sent out for the Friday, April 5th show at BBLV.

*We will be creating a website page for the SCHOLARSHIP DONATION page/links.

Treasurer’s Report (Paige):

*Dues are now ‘monthly’ payments.  The ‘special’ for the first quarter has now ended.  The 9 month (April-December) prices are:  $180 (couple), $90 (single), or $10/month.

* Don’t forget that attending monthly meetings can get you $5 credits for the next year’s dues.  (up to $20max).  Attendance is noted each month and an email is sent your way each December, letting you know the needed dues to keep current.

* We raise money each month, from those using our AmazonSmiles account.

An email was sent from the AMAZON SMILE corp., with a detailed description/annual overview of our supporters’ activity.  Shows we have 21 supporters.

*Be sure to add your SMITH’S GROCERY card and your AMAZONSMILES account, to the ‘Jam Band Society of America’ non-profit help, to ensure a portion of your purchases comes back our way!  Tell your friends/family!  (We will look into posting an ‘easy’ ‘click here’ link for others to get started.)

Secretary’s Report (Jessica):

*The next ADOPT-A-HIGHWAY will be on SUNDAY, APRIL 28th, from 8am-10am.  Please come out and help beautify our stretch of LAKE MEAD Hwy 564.  A Facebook event will soon be created!  J

Mayor’s report (Jenny M.):

Color:  RAINBOW BRIGHT

*Jenny would like to make ‘personal’ phone calls of gratitude, thanking our 2019 members for joining the LVJBS.

PRODUCTION REPORT (Greg):

*Not much contact this past month.  The thought CUBENSIS show for early May, at The Bunkhouse, has fallen through.  We will try to see if the new BAR172 would be supportive of a ‘door split’ event for one of the mentioned Saturdays:  June 1, 8, 15, or 22.  More details TBD.

*PINK TALKING FISH are interested in Saturday, May 25th (Memorial Day weekend).  More details TBA.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

*Discussion of the committee title for the Fundraiser/Scholarship program was had.

Megan requested the name change of ‘Fundraising Committee Head’ to be changed to FUND DEVELOPMENT CHAIR & asks for our Website to be updated ASAP, including her name/title.

*(Megan B.) The LVJBS SCHOLORSHIP FUND is coming along great!  Spoke with the wife of the late, Peter Porter, who supports our Scholarship’s “…in Memory of Peter Porter…4 the Music” title. Donations have been being gathered.

*Looking into gathering DONATIONS from local/nearby Breweries: Crafthouse/Joseph James.  Zia Records have offered gift cards and the LVJBS to provide a 6 mo. Membership.

 OPEN FLOOR:

*(Dan R.):  Discussion of the Sound System Proposal:  We now pay $60/mo. for our Sound System’s storage.  Dan proposed to the group that He would ‘buy’ the System from the LVJBS, store it in his personal storage area, and have it available for any of the LVJBS’s needs. Officers had discussion of the details:    Dan’s $1 purchase includes storage & Maintenance.  LVJBS to utilize, as needed, yet must be used by a ‘certified’ Sound System Engineer, if used without Dan.  If Dan chooses to ‘divest’ himself of the system, the LVJBS has the right of ‘first buy back’ for $1.  Discussion of a generated inventory list sent to the Officers and a discussion of situations/what-ifs (moving out of state/death/divorce) were had.

*The 4/20 GARAGE MAHAL Weekend TAKEOVER is coming together!  Tentative Schedule of events include an Easter Egg Hunt and Silent Raffle:  Music beginning at 2pm, Saturday:  Desert Music Collective, Lady & the Vamp, Flux, The Higgs, Flameology, HomeCookin’, Donzos Cozmos/Silent Disco, Acoustic campfire sessions.  Also, beginning at 9am, Sunday:  Drums, Debbie Stewart/Sara Patterson, Pitchfork, Johnny Zig & the Force, Icicle Tricycle & more TBA.

*Contacted by Sarit (the owner of Anise Tapas Lounge) who welcomes acoustic jam sessions/musicians/events at her restaurant.  (*possible future meeting location)
