(NO UPDATE RE: Joe Marcinek Band, Sat., April 7th:
Joe Marcinek is working with “DEAD FUNK SUMMIT” and wants to get them booked in Las Vegas, giving 9 date options and two possible line up options: Tony Hall (Dumstaphunk & TAB), Alan Evan (Soullive), & Melvin Seals (JGB) & other ‘N-funk’ Members.
*EMINENCE ENSEMBLE is playing a FREE SHOW on Sunday, June 10th at the HARD ROCK LIVE. The band asked the LVJBS to help advertise and share their Facebook posts. Group supports this, yet reminded the band that SUNDAY shows are tough, especially when parking isn’t ‘free’ any longer.
*PHISH should be in town on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 31st through SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 3rd. (4 nights) We may do a late-night, if there isn’t ‘too much’ of a conflict with any TopGolf (MGM) shows. More info TBD.
Vice President’s Report (JT):
*Members can get $5 credits—up to $20—for attending monthly meetings.
*Auto-reminders for DUES getting paid was sent.

*Don’t forget to add the Las Vegas Jam Band Society to your ‘Smith’s Grocery’ club card and utilize the LVJBS with the ‘AmazonSmiles’ page. (Simply add the LAS VEGAS JAM BAND SOCIETY as the non-profit of your choice, when utilizing the Smith’s Grocery Rewards card and go to www.amazonsmiles.com when ordering anything through the ‘www.amazon.com’ site.) (*A percentage of money spent automatically comes back the LVJBS’ way! A recent check for $10.61 has come our way for the AmazonSmiles orders.)
*Membership card info will be sent to Greg and Jessica for proofreading of names before they get printed.
Secretary’s Report (Jessica):
The NEXT Adopt-A-Highway date will be in May. Two dates will be given and voted on for what works best. No more than 2 hours. Check & mark those calendars!
*Discussion had about what is expected from the LVJBS for our non-profit status. We would like to focus on more COMMUNITY EFFORTS, to help get monies to schools/programs. We want to focus on our LVJBS members/friends of LVJBS’ music Educators’’ departments.
Mayor’s report (Eric F. absent):
Color (via text): “Spring-Time TieDye” (inspired by the ‘grate’ colorful gear this past weekend and Garage Mahall.)
PRODUCTION REPORT (Greg):
· Joe Marcinek is working with “DEAD FUNK SUMMIT” and is wanting to get them booked in Las Vegas, Saturday, April 7th. This line up would possibly have Tony Hall (Dumstaphunk & TAB), Alan Evan (Soullive), & Melvin Seals (JGB). Due to the high ‘guarantee’/budget/need for hotel rooms, etc., a contact was made to Andrew at Vinyl (Hard Rock Hotel) and will be sent to TopGolf. More details to be inquired (possible changes to the line-up) and more info TBD.
· (NO UPDATE) RE: LiveDead’69, featuring Mark Karan, Chuck Aguilar, Robin Sylvester, Michael Fedrano (sp.?) are looking into smaller-festival dates. More info/discussion TBD.
Committee Heads: ~absent~
*The GarageMahall Takeover was a SUCCESS! We raised over $3k, to help out Keith A.’s medical expenses and some financial needs from the event. Thanks to Dave & Megan for getting this together! J
*Don’t forget to support the Orange County Jam Band Society (OCJBS), in California. They are having an awesome 3 day, Grateful Campout, with 15 bands for $99 festival in May—headliners: GrooveSession, Cubensis, & others. May 4th-6th. We will share their event to our page. Any local musicians/bands with interest can contact them on their Facebook page, mentioning the LVJBS. www.oc-musicfest.com for more info
*The Bender Jamboree, April 12-14th, at the Plaza Hotel, has now offered ‘music only’ rates for the 3 days of music for NV residents. They listened to our locals’ requests of ‘not’ needing hotel accommodations. Information for the daily line-ups and individual day prices have now been posted.
*Ideas are needed for future ‘Friends & Family’ events.
*Mark your calendars for the future TECOPA TAKEOVER weekend: November 9th-11th. The LVJBS will collaborate, once again, with this event.
*Discussion of having SCOTT PEMBERTON back to Las Vegas. Venue thought: Vinyl at the Hard Rock Hotel. Dates to be discussed with Scott Pemberton ASAP. More info TBD. (Possibly a late-night after Phish weekend OR at the SandDollar Blues Lounge? Dave B. to inquire.)
*The 16th Annual CHRONIC CLASSIC, ‘family-friendly’ Poker Tournament, will be held on SUNDAY, April 28th. Dr. Vibus will be performing. The promoter asked about having LVJBS sponsor/help with funds (providing an info-table). Group suggests asking ‘Jammin’ on Main’ to set up a table.
